Operations at the Ok Tedi Mine in Western Province were temporarily disrupted after disgruntled landowners blocked a key access road in protest over a recent land court ruling involving customary ownership of the Kutumabip land on Mt Fubilan. After about two hours, the protestors voluntarily cleared the road following discussions with authorities, allowing traffic flow and mine operations to return to normal.
