Central, N.Y. — Mosquitos in Oswego and Madison counties have tested positive for Eastern equine encephalitis virus, the counties’ health departments announced Tuesday.EEE is rare and can be severe. About 30% of people who develop severe EEE die from the disease, and many survivors face ongoing neurological problems, according to the CDC.
