Firefighters battle new blaze in Oso Canyon west of Española

The 10-acre Oso Canyon Fire, which ignited in a burn scar west of Española, in the Española Ranger District of Santa Fe National Forest, was discovered early Sunday afternoon, forest officials said in a statement.

Oso Canyon Fire ignites west of Espanola

The fire was discovered Sunday afternoon.  An estimated 10 acres have burned in the fire and smoke can be seen from Espanola and Ohkay Owingeh.
