The trucks ordered by the US Armed Forces belong to the Family of Heavy Tactical Vehicles (FHTV) and are to be used by, among others, the National Guard, the U.S. Army Reserve, as well as to be used as carriers of air defense systems, e.g. IFPC (Indirect Fire Protection Capability) under programs managed by the Program Executive Office Missiles & Space (PEO MS).
