Orioles head groundskeeper Nicole Sherry leaving after 20 years
Nicole Sherry is leaving her role as Orioles head groundskeeper after 20 years at Camden Yards, confirmed by the team on Monday.
She became the second female head groundskeeper for a major league baseball team when she took the job in Baltimore.
Sherry has maintained the field at Camden Yards in excellent condition throughout her tenure.
She will groom the mound for the last time and throw out the ceremonial first pitch before the Orioles game against the New York Yankees, then join the Maryland Department of Agriculture.
