Oregon under an extreme heat warning from Sunday to Tuesday – temperatures up to 100 degrees

On Saturday at 1:06 p.m. an extreme heat warning was issued by the National Weather Service valid from Sunday noon until Tuesday 10 p.m. for John Day Basin, Foothills of the Southern Blue Mountains of Oregon, North Central Oregon and Central Oregon.The weather service says, "Dangerously hot conditions with temperatures up to 100 degrees expected. This will pose a moderate to locally major risk of heat-related illness, especially on Monday."
