Oregon AG should reject settlement with Purdue Pharma, Sackler family

Summary by The Oregonian
A proposed multi-state settlement with Purdue Pharma and members of the Sackler family does not come close to providing the accountability or paying for the damage caused by the opioid crisis, writes David Hart, who led Oregon DOJ's opioid litigation unit until his retirement last month. Oregon Attorney General Dan Rayfield should decline to sign it and pursue a better deal.
