Orange: Orange Achieved Record First Half Growth Both in Revenue (+3.5%) and EBITDAaL (+5.0%)

  • On Tuesday, French telecoms group Orange raised its full-year profit and cash-flow targets after posting record first-half growth driven by strong performance in Africa and the Middle East.
  • Earlier this year, Orange completed its acquisition of the remaining 50% of MasOrange from investment group Lorca for €4.25bn, a deal that closed in June and enables full consolidation of results.
  • First-Half revenue rose 3.5% to €20.9bn while EBITDAaL increased 5.0% to €6.1bn. Africa and the Middle East led with 13.9% revenue growth and 16.1% EBITDAaL gains, far outpacing France's 1.2% revenue rise.
  • Orange raised its organic cash flow target to around €4.3bn from roughly €4bn and now expects EBITDAaL to grow more than 4% across 2026, up from earlier guidance of above 3%.
  • Operations outside France, helped by strong growth in Belgium, saw revenue increase 4.1% and EBITDAaL rise 6.1%, while capital spending remains disciplined at roughly 15% of revenue as European 5G networks mature.
