Oracle Adds Google Gemini to the Agent Menu

Oracle says the partnership gives customers access to Gemini 3.1 Flash Lite and Gemini 3.5 Flash for agentic applications and embedded AI features.

  • On Thursday, Oracle and Google Cloud expanded their partnership to bring Gemini 3.1 Flash-Lite and Gemini 3.5 Flash models to Oracle AI Agent Studio, Oracle Fusion Applications, and Oracle NetSuite.
  • Oracle previously launched Fusion Agentic Applications earlier this year, initially supporting models from Cohere and Meta, before expanding to include Google's Gemini offerings.
  • Gemini 3.1 Flash-Lite is engineered for high-efficiency price-performance, while Gemini 3.5 Flash handles complex reasoning and specialized tasks; these tools now support more than 44,000 NetSuite customers across 220 countries.
  • "Our expanded partnership with Oracle is designed to make it easier for organizations to use Gemini," said Satish Thomas, Vice President, Google Cloud, emphasizing workflow automation and decision acceleration.
  • Despite expanded capabilities, Gartner previously noted unanswered questions about technology implementation, and analyst Abbabatulla stated, "I don't see a clear response from any vendor on the liability issue.
