Opposition forms around Riverview expansion that would be largest dairy in MN

The agency said more than 500 comments were posted as opponents pressed for a fuller environmental review of the proposed 18,855-cow expansion.

MORRIS — Opposition to Riverview LLP’s proposed West River Dairy near Morris, Minnesota, has surfaced as the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency moved to extend the comment period for the project until April 9. The project in question is an expansion of the dairy’s capacity from 7,855 to 18,855 dairy cattle, or a total of 26,397 animal units on one farm.
