Ori Bernstein has ported GEFS, a compact copy-on-write filesystem from 9front, to OpenBSD. The early preview offers crash safety, snapshots and corruption detection in under 9,000 lines. Production use remains distant, yet the code already draws attention from BSD developers seeking a simpler alternative to larger solutions.
