OpenAI unveils a new ChatGPT agent for ‘deep research’

OpenAI has introduced a new AI tool called Deep Research that conducts online research quickly, completing tasks in tens of minutes that would normally take many hours for a person.
Deep Research will be available to select paying customers through OpenAI's ChatGPT chatbot, according to a blog post.
The tool can analyze various online sources and produce comprehensive reports, similar to the work of a research analyst, according to OpenAI.
OpenAI's CEO, Sam Altman, announced the tool during a live-streamed event in Tokyo, where he met with Japan's Prime Minister, Shigeru Ishiba, and SoftBank's Masayoshi Son.
