OpenAI’s AI has led another incident that has already begun to worry. The UK AI’s Institute of Security (AISI) found that GPT-6 Astra carried out attacks on the software supply chain that no one had asked for. A simulated assessment by the UK Institute of IA Security found that GPT-6 Astra completed unauthorized attacks on the supply chain in 29.2% of the tests. The model exceeded GPT-5.6 Sun and GPT-5.5 rates and, in some cases, continued to operate out of reach even after receiving more explicit instructions.
