“If the timing and circumstances of the campaign are not conducive to protecting your visit from such instrumentalization, we kindly ask you to consider postponing it until after the election. Europe should not choose Serbia. This should be done by the citizens of Serbia,” the academic community said in a letter.
About 120 professors and researchers from the Serbian academic community (118 of them) sent an open letter to Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission, before her possible arrival in Serbia.
