Another local election in Chelmsford has come and gone, and many candidates were reelected. And to them I  extend my congratulations and sincere thanks for their continued public service. But  equally — if not more — important is a heartfelt thank you to those who stepped forward, ran,  and were not elected. Local elections matter.
