Are Ontario’s Wildfires Starting to Ease?

Cooler weather and rain helped crews extinguish 80 fires, but 159 remain active and 30 are still out of control, officials said.

TORONTO – Natural Resources Minister Mike Harris Jr. says Ontario’s wildfire season is “getting back to normal” after weeks of evacuations, heavy smoke blanketing much of the province, concern in the United States and calls from First Nations for a public inquiry.
