OPP seek five suspects in alleged abduction and death of Cambridge man in Guelph
- The Ontario Provincial Police responded around 6 p.m. On May 14, 2025, to a crash between two vehicles traveling south on Hanlon Parkway in Guelph.
- Police determined that the collision followed the assault and abduction of a 40-year-old Cambridge man from a Fife Road residence by five suspects who fled in two vehicles.
- The suspects fled in two vehicles: a grey 2010 Toyota Venza SUV bearing Ontario plate CVBX 602, and a white Dodge RAM pickup truck from 2013 with licence plate BZ 85153. Authorities are urging the public to review any security camera recordings and share pertinent information.
- The injured man was found with life-threatening injuries at the scene, transported to hospital, and pronounced deceased, with police describing this as an isolated incident.
- The Wellington County Crime Unit and allied agencies continue investigating and urge anyone with evidence to contact the OPP or Crime Stoppers anonymously.
