A fire, a heavy storm or another incident that causes serious home damage would quickly put many families in difficulty. Only 17% of Romanians say they have enough money put aside to bear such costs alone, according to an IRES research carried out for UNSAR. Others 29% admit that they would need additional financial support to rebuild their home. And 15% say that in such a situation, it would be based on state or city aid.
