Oneida YMCA to host information sessions to avoid scams targeting seniors

The first session will be at 9 a.m. and the second session will be at 10:15 a.m. Fraud experts Rebecca Powell and Nicole Lent-Pollard will be on hand to discuss how to detect modern scams, recognize common fraud tactics that target older adults, understand why the scams are so convincing, learn effective strategies to reduce risk and how to respond quickly and confidently to potential threats.
