A Lucknow man has alleged that he was taken away over an unpaid mobile phone instalment, made to give blood and kept captive for days. After his family complained of threats and extortion demands, police registered a case and began a probe.
According to the family, Nawal had financed a mobile phone worth approximately ₹21,000 with a zero down payment in September 2025. His monthly installment of approximately ₹2,799 was due.
A shocking incident has come to light in Lucknow where a young man was held hostage for failing to pay his mobile EMI, taken to a blood bank, and forced to have his blood drawn. It is alleged that the young man was forced to work for several days, and money was also extorted from his family in the name of installment payments. Following the complaint, DCP South has filed a case and ordered the arrest of the accused.
