In 59 countries around the world, a large-scale operation against trafficking in persons was carried out, in which more than a thousand people were detained, and Ukrainian law enforcement officials also joined events and identified several cases of exploitation.
During a global operation organized by Romania and Austria, traffickers were detained on several continents, with more than 2,000 victims identified, some of whom were forced into prostitution.
Dozens of countries worldwide have joined forces in a crackdown on human trafficking, arresting more than 1,000 suspects and rescuing over 2,000 victims.
Prostitution, forced labour and crime: In one attack against human trafficking, Interpol has arrested more than a thousand people, including minors.
A total of 2070 victims have been identified, 10% of whom are minors from the North, Central and South Americas forced into prostitution, or adults sent to other continents for forced labour, begging and criminal activities.
