One Stray Whooper Swan Spotted on Ishigaki Island, 13 Bean Geese and More

[Ishigaki] A single whooper swan, a stray bird that rarely migrates to the prefecture, was spotted on Ishigaki Island on December 20th. A flock of 15 geese also flew in. The photograph was taken by Kobayashi Masahiro (51), an Ishigaki Island field guide with "SeaBeans." The whooper swan has a blackish beak and its body is generally grayish, suggesting it is a young bird.
