Man Dead, Child Airlifted to Hospital Following Collision Near Smiths Falls

- The head-on collision occurred on Highway 15 just before 4:30 p.m., involving two cars and an ambulance carrying no patients; a fifth person sustained minor injuries.
- Police reported that ambulance occupants suffered serious injuries while two others were transported to a nearby hospital in serious condition; the child remains in critical condition at CHEO.
- Following the collision, Highway 15 is shut down between County Road 1 and County Road 5, with OPP warning that motorists should expect a "lengthy road closure" as investigation continues.
