- Syrian media reported Saturday that an Israeli drone struck a vehicle near the village of Beit Jinn in the Damascus countryside, wounding one person. The site lies about 35 kilometers southwest of Damascus, near the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights.
- Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu linked the operation to concerns over possible Turkish military presence in Syria, stating, "We will not tolerate Turkish military entrenchment moving south." The IDF has not confirmed the attack.
- Earlier this month, Israeli aircraft struck Abu al-Duhur air base in northwestern Idlib. On Friday, Twelve countries jointly condemned the attack as a violation of Syrian sovereignty and called for upholding the Disengagement of Forces Agreement.

- President Donald Trump's envoy Tom Barrack suggested the strike might be intended to provoke a Turkish military response. "One theory is they simply tried to bait Turkey," Barrack said, noting that election periods can produce "irrational judgment.

Civilian injured in Israeli drone strike on Beit Jinn
Damascus Countryside, Aug. 22 (SANA) A civilian was injured when an Israeli occupation drone targeted a vehicle in the town of Beit Jinn in Damascus countryside.The injured civilian was taken to hospital for treatment. Last Tuesday, Israeli occupation forces targeted the Yarmouk Basin area in the western countryside of Daraa with an artillery shell, no casualties were reported.F.J./M.Z.
