One dead, one wounded in separate York City shootings

Two separate shootings in a span of three hours left one person dead and one hospitalized in York City. The first shooting happened around 11:21 p.m. Friday in the 700 block of West Poplar Street. Police found a 31-year-old woman with gunshot wounds and arrested Edward Vasquez-Quezada, 54, for attempted homicide, aggravated assault and simple assault. He is in York County Prison and was denied bail based on the nature of the charges.
