A man is facing charges after allegedly attempting to rob a Saanich bank with a fake gun last week. Saanich Police say that just before 5 p.m. on Jan. 16, the department received a report of an armed robbery at a bank in the 300 block of Burnside Road West. “The suspect entered the bank, approached a teller and produced what appeared to be a firearm,” states Saanich Police.
