Ondo Tokenizes BlackRock ETF and Micron Stock in First US-Regulated Debut
Broadridge will add proxy voting and regulatory disclosures for more than 250 tokenized securities as Ondo launches its first U.S. custodial tokenized shares.
- On Thursday, Ondo Finance and Broadridge Financial Solutions Inc. launched the first live solution for third-party tokenized U.S. securities, enabling onchain proxy voting for BlackRock iShares Core S&P 500 ETF and Micron Technology shares.
- The launch follows an SEC staff statement from January 2026 outlining a custodial model for third-party tokenized securities, keeping underlying assets within the traditional U.S. custody chain while Oasis Pro TA mints 1:1 tokenized entitlements on Ethereum.
- Broadridge enables holders of more than 250 tokenized securities to participate in proxy voting and receive regulatory disclosures, ensuring token holders receive the same shareholder rights as traditional brokerage account holders.
- Ondo Finance CEO Ian De Bode said the milestone provides "a strong foundation for our expanding access to onchain investments for more U.S. investors," building on the firm's previous support for more than $1 billion in tokenized stocks outside the United States.
- Tokenized real-world assets have surged nearly 600% over the past year to $1.67 billion, while analysts project tokenized securities could reach $5.5 trillion by 2030 as competition among digital asset platforms intensifies.
