Once-controversial black bear hunt faces changes in Ontario
While Ontario's black bears hibernate through the winter months, provincial officials are steadily working to change the way the bear population is managed, and that could mean changes for hunters and outfitters, let alone bears. The Ministry of Natural Resources is now developing population targets for black bears: an acceptable lower and upper number of bears in 29 regions across the province.
