In 1232, an army formed by forces of the Military Orders (Christian military orders) set out to take the city of Trujillo, in Cáceres, which culminated on January 25, after several months of a siege.On January 25, 1233, a group of soldiers led by Mozarabe Fernán Ruiz Altamirano, with the participation of soldiers of the Military Orders of Santiago, Alcántara and Temple, conquered the city.
