On the day that the formal deadline for claims for compensation ends, Catholic Church experts have received 128 complaints of sexual abuse

According to the abuse scandals, the image of the Catholic Church in German-speaking Switzerland is poor.

In at least 71 of the cases, requests for financial compensation. Deadline for filing a complaint ends today, but according to the coordinator this is not the maximum limit.

“I imagine that number could rise in the coming days,” acknowledged psychologist Rute Agulhas, who coordinates the group of experts invited by the Church to hear complaints.
