After the Olympic gold medal in skiathlon, it was time again on Thursday.
No one else was close. Frida Karlsson took her second straight gold after a total knockout. Behind her, Ebba Andersson grabbed another silver.
At the Winter Olympics in Cortina, Milan, Sweden, Frida Karlsson and Ebba Andersson won the women's 10 km free technique freestyle cross-country skiing event. The best Estonian woman was Keidy Kaasiku, who finished in 37th place.
Frida Karlsson was completely dominant in the skiathlon. Ebba Andersson was an equally superior second. In Thursday's 10 kilometer freestyle, the Swedish cross-country women are chasing new Olympic medals. In addition, reigning champion Walter Wallberg will defend his Olympic gold in moguls.
Frida Karlsson edged out the other favorites in the 10-kilometer freestyle at the Olympics. Astrid Øyre Slind came a few seconds too late to take the bronze medal.
