Olympic champion Brignone to undergo new knee operation

- "My leg continues to improve, but unfortunately, during certain activities and while skiing, I am still experiencing pain," Brignone said, prompting her medical team to decide on the operation to clean up the area.
- The Italian Winter Sports Federation stated Brignone should resume physical activity within a few weeks, though she previously indicated the 2026/27 season might be her last before deciding on surgery.
- Brignone, a two-time world champion and overall World Cup title winner in 2020 and 2025, faces an upcoming World Cup season starting late October in Soelden, Austria, with the 2027 world championships in Crans-Montana, Switzerland.
