Olmenhof Fishing Pond in Herk-De-Stad Drained Due to Low Water Level, Future of Fishing Club Uncertain

In Herk-de-Stad, the fish pond at the Olmenhof is being emptied today. The water level is too low for the fish to continue living in it healthily, and maintenance work on the ponds is scheduled to take place soon. That is why all the fish had to be removed. Fishing club De Snoek in Alken is more than happy about this. They experienced a massive fish kill last year. Now they can restock their pond with fish from Herk-de-Stad.
