Olivia Rodrigo’s Festival Is Uniting Women and Girls Behind Nonprofits Promoting Their Well
- Singer-Songwriter Olivia Rodrigo announced on Friday that her Daisy Chain Fields Music Festival will donate $10 million to 10 nonprofits supporting women and girls. The festival debuts Saturday, Aug. 29, at Great Park in Irvine, California.
- Sponsors and artists waiving performance fees raised the $10 million total, supporting organizations advocating for reproductive health, maternal care, and gender justice. Beneficiaries include Planned Parenthood and the National Women's Law Center.
- To challenge industry norms, the festival features female photographers capturing the stage and activations. Rodrigo designed the event to spotlight women both in front of and behind the camera, according to organizers.
- Representatives from the 10 beneficiary organizations joined Rodrigo at the announcement to emphasize their collective mission. "They've taught me a lot about how we are all stronger when we come together," she said.
