State Auditor and Inspector Cindy Byrd defeated incumbent State Treasurer Todd Russ for the Republican nomination. Byrd took 61.66% of the vote against Russ’s 38.34%. Byrd moves onto the November General Election to face Libertarian Kiefer Perry. No Democrat filed for the statewide race.
