TSA Now Allowing Non-Ticketed Visitors Into Terminals at Several U.S. Airports

- Applicants must hold TSA PreCheck benefits or a Known Traveler Number to participate. Visitors apply on the TSA website between one and three days before arrival, and upon approval, proceed through the PreCheck screening lane with valid identification.
- Once approved, visitors can accompany travelers to departure gates, meet arriving passengers, and visit airport shops. Mesa Gateway Airport communications director Ryan Smith noted the program particularly benefits families helping elderly parents or young children navigate the terminal.
- While only 13 airports currently offer this access, the TSA indicated more locations will be added in the coming months as part of a phased rollout. The agency did not provide a specific timeline or disclose the total number of future participating airports.
