OECD raises Turkey inflation forecast, trims growth outlook
The OECD revised downward its growth forecasts for the Turkish economy in its September Economic Outlook report. The Organization lowered Turkey's growth expectations for 2026 and 2027, while raising its inflation forecasts for the same periods. The global economy's growth forecast for 2026 was raised from 2.8% to 2.9%.
The OECD has revised its inflation expectations for the Turkish economy upwards and its growth forecasts downwards. The OECD increased its 2027 inflation forecast from 18.3% to 24.7%.
The OECD revised its inflation forecasts upwards and its growth expectations downwards for the Turkish economy: the organization increased its inflation expectation for 2026 to 31.5 percent, while lowering its growth forecast to 2.7 percent; it also predicted that the disinflation process will continue until 2027.
The OECD has delivered bad news for the Turkish economy. The OECD raised its inflation forecast from 28.4% to 31.5%, while lowering its economic growth estimate from 3.1% to 2.7%.
