Margot Robbie’s Ocean’s Prequel Just Added 3 Major Stars
The period heist thriller is set at the 1962 Monaco Grand Prix and will begin shooting in Paris before moving to the South of France.
- Warner Bros. Pictures has added Vicky Krieps, George MacKay, Lauren Ridloff, Jack Holden, and Omar Sy to the cast of its untitled Ocean's prequel, joining stars Bradley Cooper and Margot Robbie.
- Set during the 1963 Monaco Grand Prix, this origin story features Cooper and Robbie playing the parents of Danny Ocean and Debbie Ocean, expanding the franchise that began with Steven Soderbergh's 2001 film Ocean's Eleven.
- Production begins later this month in Paris and the South of France, with Cooper directing and starring alongside Wagner Moura, who plays the villain; the film is slated for a June 25, 2027, release.
- Last week, Deadline reported that Monica Barbaro, Josh Gad, and Moura joined the project, bolstering the ensemble for the heist thriller following the studio's previous Ocean's films.
