- The state allocated $190 million to subsidize premiums for households up to 165% of the federal poverty level, with nearly half of enrollees paying $10 or less and 17% of renewers paying nothing.
- Thousands of middle-class Californians face premiums thousands higher as a Los Angeles couple with two children and $90,000 income sees their Silver plan rise 69% to $699 this year.
- The deadline to sign up is Saturday at CoveredCA.com, while Jessica Altman warned coverage drops may rise as people receive higher bills this month, risking medical costs and penalties for uninsured Californians.
