The OAS rejects the threats against the electoral authorities of Peru Lima, 4 May (EFE).- The Electoral Observation Mission (EOM) of the Organization of American States (OAS) expressed its concern this Monday about the threats and harassment against the electoral authorities of Peru and made an urgent call for the final counting of votes to determine the candidates who will pass the presidential runoff.
"The Mission emphasizes that violence and confrontation do not constitute legitimate avenues for democratic coexistence," said Víctor Rico Frontaura, a former secretary general of the Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean (CAF).
