- The chipmaker will invest an initial $2 billion for a roughly 20% stake in the Blackstone-backed company, with an enterprise value of around $10 billion. An additional $1 billion may follow if grid hookup thresholds are met.
- Stargate is a joint venture formed by SoftBank, OpenAI, and Oracle; President Donald Trump announced the project in January, estimating a total investment of up to $500 billion for artificial intelligence infrastructure.
- The capital is expected to help Lancium expand its operations as the company explores a potential initial public offering in 2027, according to reports.
