Opposition parties voted against the bill, arguing the timeline was unrealistic and costs unclear, while officials held talks with Enel, Westinghouse, and France's EDF about advanced reactor construction.
The measure now moves to the Senate for final approval before the summer recess in late July, aligning with European decarbonisation targets for 2050.
