NELSON — The Nuckolls County Fair and Rodeo’s 151st anniversary run begins in earnest here Wednesday and stretches into Saturday, with the kids’ rodeo Wednesday evening and regular rodeo sessions Thursday and Friday.

A tradition that started in Nelson 151 years ago is continuing this week on the Nuckolls County Fairgrounds located on top of a hill south of town. The action began a week ago today (Thursday morning) for 4-H Club members when the companion animal and dog shows were held.
