Nscale and Figure Sign Strategic Partnership to Power the Next Generation of Physical AI
On Thursday, AI cloud firm Nscale signed a multi-year deal to provide $3.5 billion in compute resources for humanoid robotics company Figure's AI models and robots.
The company, which competes with CoreWeave and Nebius, plans to scale the computing investment to more than $6 billion to strengthen its position in the AI cloud sector.
Up to 100,000 Nvidia GPUs will support development of the next generation of Figure's Helix models, powering advanced AI capabilities for humanoid robotics.
Deployment of Initial graphics processing units is targeted to begin in the second half of 2027 in Barstow, Texas, according to Nscale.
Through the agreement, Nscale becomes a Figure shareholder and preferred compute provider; both companies plan to explore scaling Nscale's supply chain using humanoids.
