In a First, NRC Approves Restart of Mothballed Nuclear Facility

BERRIEN COUNTY, MICHIGAN, JUL 28 – The Nuclear Regulatory Commission approved licensing steps to restart the 800-MW Palisades plant, marking the first U.S. nuclear facility to return after decommissioning, with operation expected by October.
