On July 4, all over the 50 American states and wherever they would be in the world, American celebrateers with a large national day, with the focus of arts, parades, hot-dog food competitions, baseball games and family meetings with barbecues, pop-corns, plenty of beer and sweet drinks.
Between the last Monday in May (Memorial Day) and the first Monday in September (Labor Day), Americans throw 2.7 billion outdoor parties featuring sizzling, charred slabs of meat as the main attraction. And the biggest fireworks usually come on July 4, Independence Day.
