Dolphins' Star RB De'Von Achane Heads to Locker Room with Knee Injury
The Dolphins could be left with one healthy running back if Achane cannot return, with Ollie Gordon II as the only available option.
On Sunday, Miami Dolphins running back De'Von Achane left the game against the Kansas City Chiefs with a knee injury during the first quarter, with the team designating him questionable to return.
The injury occurred during an 11-yard run to the left side after a Chiefs defender grabbed Achane's facemask, forcing him to limp off the field with trainers in the first quarter.
With backup Jaylen Wright inactive due to a foot injury, Ollie Gordon II remains the only healthy running back available for the Dolphins against Kansas City for the remainder of the contest.
Following evaluation in the medical tent, Achane walked to the locker room under his own power, leaving the Dolphins without their primary offensive weapon who entered Sunday with 110 rushing yards this season.
Achane, a 2025 Pro Bowl selection, is vital after rushing for a career-high 1,350 yards on 238 carries last season; his absence forces Miami to rely heavily on Gordon against the Chiefs.
