‘We can do better:’ Frustration growing over the rush for fossil fuel peaker plants in the Maritimes

About 200 people gathered in downtown New Glasgow on Saturday morning to protest two methane- and diesel-fired “peaker” power plants planned for Marshdale and Salt Springs in Pictou County.

Rally against gas plants held in New Glasgow
