A novice BMW driver going more than double the speed limit and travelling in the opposite direction on Highway 1 was stopped by North Vancouver RCMP who handed out a pricey fine.

A novice driver was stopped and penalized after leading officers on a brief highway pursuit following speeds more than double the posted limit, according to a social media post from North Vancouver RCMP.
