North Melbourne set to unveil new coach within days
The Roos are expected to confirm the 43-year-old after he impressed in interviews and emerged as the panel’s preferred candidate.
Jaymie Graham is set to be unveiled as North Melbourne coach this week after interviewing exceptionally on Saturday, with the club selecting the 43-year-old as their preferred candidate.
Following Nathan Buckley's withdrawal from contention, Graham emerged as the final choice, beating out fellow contenders David Hale, Daniel Giansiracusa, and Xavier Clarke for the position.
With past roles at Fremantle and West Coast, Graham previously pursued senior roles at Essendon and Carlton, earning a glowing endorsement from Ken Hinkley, who said Graham will "absolutely be a senior coach."
The appointment follows Alastair Clarkson's dismissal one month ago, four years into a five-year contract, as North Melbourne officials believe their young list requires a different coaching voice.
Despite securing only 20 wins from 81 games under the previous coach, the Kangaroos achieved nine wins from 23 games in 2026, positioning Graham to build on this improvement.
